How to get to/from Kansai International Airport

Kansai International Airport (KIX) is roughly 40 kilometers from central Osaka and is located on an artificial island in Osaka Bay. Here are the ways for getting to Kansai Airport from Osaka Station as well as other surrounding stations and vice versa.

Kansai Airport Rapid Service

Osaka Station, Tennoji Station, Shin-Osaka Station, and Nankai Namba Station are the major transit hubs that offer train services to the airport.

Travel Time (Osaka Station): around 65 minutes

Travel Time (Tennoji Station): around 45 minutes

Ticket Price: ¥1060

Airport Express HARUKA

Airport Express Haruka is a convenient and fast service that connects Kansai Airport to Tennoji and Shin-Osaka Station before heading into Kyoto Station.

Kansai Airport to/from Shin-Osaka Station

Travel Time: about 50 minutes

Ticket Price: ¥2380 for an unreserved seat, about ¥2900 for a reserved seat

Kansai Airport to/from Tennoji Station

Travel Time: about 30 minutes

Ticket Price: ¥1740 for an unreserved seat, about ¥2300 for a reserved seat

Nankai Airport Express & Limited Express Rapi:t

If you are going to or from the Namba area, Nankai Namba Station is a good option. Between Kansai Airport and Nankai Namba Station, Nankai Electric Railway offers two convenient services, the Nankai Airport Express & Limited Express Rapi:t.

Nankai Airport Express (Namba)

Travel Time: about 45 minutes

Ticket Price: ¥930

Limited Express Rapi:t* (Namba)

Travel Time: about 35 minutes

Ticket Price: ¥1450

*Rapi:t is not a typo. It is the stylization of ラピート (Rapiito)


Buses

Central Osaka

Travel Time: about 60 minutes

Ticket Price: ¥1500

Kobe

Travel Time: about 75 minutes

Kyoto
